Dr. Jaclyn Johnson
Owner and General Dentist
Dr. Jaclyn Johnson has an inspiring origin story when it comes to dentistry. In 2004, she was the front desk receptionist for Dr. Naylor and Everett, PLLC, a time during which she admitted she knew nothing about teeth and hated her smile. However, she quickly soaked up all the available knowledge and information like a sponge and became deeply connected with the dental office's team and patients. When she moved from the front desk to the treatment rooms as a dental assistant, she got "bit by the dentistry bug" and fell in love with everything about clinical dentistry. It wasn't long before Jaclyn started imagining herself sitting on the other side of the chair, so she decided to go back to school to become a dentist!
Dr. Johnson received her doctorate at WVU School of Dentistry and has been a practicing dentist since 2015. In 2017, she bought Dr. Naylor and Everett, PLLC and rebranded it as Preston Dental Care, where she and Dr. Ashley Helfer now lead our dynamic team. Dr. Johnson's goal as a dentist is to help people from all walks of life maintain their smiles and keep those pearlies looking great. She firmly believes in helping people overcome their fear of dentists and educating them to confidently and happily participate in their dental care.
I love that every patient brings a new challenge and perspective to the table (or chair, I suppose). I enjoy getting to know them, and my favorite moments are when a patient says they are no longer afraid of going to the dentist. I love being a part of making that possible for them, but I couldn't do it without the help of my wonderful team, who always go the extra mile to help make patients comfortable. There is always laughter in our office, and it makes spending time with my patients and team so enjoyable. —Dr. Jaclyn Johnson
Dr. Johnson is unafraid of a challenge and craves adventure. Traveling is one of her biggest passions; she loves seeing new places and making memories with her family. Her travel bucket list is seemingly never-ending, as she's always thinking of new and exciting corners of the world to explore.
Patients may not know that Dr. Johnson is very active outside of the dental office. Some of her hobbies include training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. She also has a background in drama and dance, and those who have seen our Facebook videos might not be surprised by this. If you follow Preston Dental Care on Facebook, you will likely see Dr. Johnson cut a rug for our team and patients' entertainment!

Dr. Lauren Srivastava
Dentist
Lauren Srivastava is a dedicated dentist originally hailing from Philadelphia. Make no mistake, though; she is a die-hard West Virginian! Her journey in dentistry began when she worked as a dental assistant volunteer at the Health Right Dental Clinic in Charleston, WV. She is excited to be a member of the awesome Preston Dental Care Team. Lauren finds joy in helping her patients feel more confident about their smiles while simultaneously improving their overall health.
"I love talking to patients and getting to know them. I like to hear updates on their families and lives. I also love to see their progress as they move through their treatment plan and on to improved health and function." --Dr. Lauren Srivistava
When she's not busy brightening up smiles, Lauren has her hands full with a loving husband and three wonderful children who keep her on her toes. She's a beach enthusiast who finds solace in the soothing waves, and she relishes her downtime by delving into books or exploring new destinations through travel – two of her favorite hobbies. Kristin Laulis
Dental Hygienist
Kristin is one of our highly organized dental hygienists, and she’s been part of our fun-loving Preston Dental Care team since January 2020. As a child, Kristin had orthodontics, and her frequent visits to the dentist sparked a fascination with teeth. Following her childhood interest in oral health, she began her journey in dentistry as a dental assistant in 2013 near her hometown in Glendale, WV.
In 2016, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty University and now cares for the oral health and hygiene of kids, adults, and seniors. Her favorite thing about working with patients is teaching children good habits that can last a lifetime.
I love helping anxious patients gain trust and become more comfortable with dental procedures. I also love educating patients on oral health and the effect oral health has on the entire body. —Kristin
When she’s not at the dental office, Kristin can be found crafting, hunting, hanging out with her dog, or organizing––one of her favorite hobbies. She also recently started bowhunting with her husband and is excited by their new shared hobby.
Want to know another fun fact about Kristin? Growing up, she participated in dog shows with her childhood dog Gus, a Basset Hound, and they even won Grand Champion High Point! However, things took a comical turn the following year, as Gus decided to howl the entire show and refused to follow any of Kristin’s commands, landing them in last place. Perhaps Gus was more focused on biscuits and belly rubs after his big win the previous year!
